Bedtime for Kids with Autism

Research and Industrial Design

I took a deep dive to understand Autism Spectrum Disorder and the parenting struggles that present themselves and came up with a concept to reduce the stress and frustration surrounding bedtime.

Event Co-founder and Director

I believe "Inventing the Future" requires the cross-pollination of Dreamers and Do-ers. I developed this event out of frustration over the academic silos I wanted to break through on Virginia Tech's campus. My mission was to eliminate excuses to not pursue great ideas. How? By helping people of all backgrounds and skill levels connect, collaborate and get to work on ideas. 

Shoe tying & Seniors

Design Research and Design-Build

What happens the day you can no longer touch your toes? Or balance well enough to take a shoe off? In this extensive design-build study, my partner and I redesigned the shoe-tying experience for people with mobility issues. 

Measuring tendon injuries in Horses

Prototyping, Engineering & Circuitry 

I built a functional device that measures a horse's tendon health. The Inventor with the patent brought it back to Kuwait to test the concept on his horses and to eventually present his invention to the Kuwaiti Prince.
